Pakistan, July 31 -- Rescue teams have recovered four bodies as search operations continue for climbers missing after an avalanche struck a 10-member international expedition on Broad Peak (8,047 metres) in Gilgit-Baltistan. Authorities have not yet identified the recovered victims, while rescue teams remain engaged in a difficult operation under challenging weather conditions.
Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Amjad Hussain took immediate notice of the incident and directed all relevant departments to intensify search and rescue efforts.
