Pakistan, April 7 -- Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, has signed a new law aimed at restricting the application of certain foreign legal systems and strengthening measures against extremist groups.

The legislation, known as HB 1471, prohibits the use or enforcement of foreign laws-including interpretations of Sharia law-if they are found to conflict with the constitutional rights guaranteed under US law.
