Pakistan, July 5 -- Five more mosques have been demolished in India's Uttar Pradesh state, bringing renewed attention to Uttar Pradesh mosque demolitions and concerns over anti-Muslim actions. The latest demolitions have sparked criticism from rights groups and members of the Muslim community.

According to reports, state authorities said the mosques were built without the required legal permissions and were therefore removed under existing laws. Officials maintained that the demolitions were carried out in accordance with legal and administrative procedures.
