Pakistan, Sept. 2 -- The much-awaited first trailer of Inspector Jamshed: The Secret Parchment, based on the popular Urdu novels of renowned writer Ishtiaq Ahmed, has been released, offering audiences their first extended look at the upcoming film.

The trailer has sparked excitement among fans who grew up reading about Inspector Jamshed and his family, bringing one of the most recognisable detective characters in Pakistani Urdu fiction closer to the big screen.

The film stars Omair Rana as Inspector Jamshed, while Ahad Raza Mir portrays Behzaad, the story's principal antagonist.

The movie is expected to arrive in cinemas in 2027.
