Pakistan, Sept. 8 -- A fire broke out at the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) headquarters on Tuesday. The blaze completely gutted Mayor Murtaza Wahab's office.

According to the fire department, the fire started in a kitchen beside the mayor's office. The flames then spread into the mayor's office and the office of his personal secretary. Authorities deployed firefighting teams to control the blaze. The fire department later confirmed that the fire had been brought under control.
