Pakistan, June 24 -- A major fire broke out at Islamabad's H-9 Sunday Bazaar, destroying 335 shops and stalls. Rescue officials said the blaze spread rapidly through the market, causing extensive damage to businesses and merchandise. The H-9 Sunday Bazaar fire is one of the largest market fire incidents reported in the federal capital in recent times.

According to rescue authorities, the fire was caused by a short circuit. The presence of batteries inside several shops reportedly intensified the blaze as multiple batteries exploded, allowing the fire to spread more quickly across the market.
