Pakistan, Oct. 20 -- Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb on Monday chaired a high-level meeting to review the proposed restructuring and deregulation roadmap for Pakistan's gas sector, focusing on financial sustainability, operational efficiency, consumer welfare and greater private-sector participation.

The proposed reforms aim to establish a financially sustainable, efficient and competitive gas market that supports businesses, encourages private investment and protects consumer welfare, said a press release issued by the Ministry of Finance.
