Pakistan, Aug. 24 -- Field Marshal Asim Munir reached Tehran on Monday as Pakistan stepped up diplomatic efforts to promote peace and stability across the Middle East. Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni received the army chief at the airport after his arrival in the Iranian capital. Munir later met Momeni, while Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also joined the meeting. The officials discussed regional security, bilateral relations and possible ways to reduce tensions.
