Pakistan, Aug. 15 -- Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir hosted a reception for Pakistan Army veterans on Independence Day.

The event honoured retired officers and soldiers for their lifelong services and contributions to Pakistan's defence, according to Inter-Services Public Relations.
