Pakistan, July 28 -- The Federal Investigation (FIA) has established a Virtual Currency Investigation Cell (VCIC) to tackle the misuse of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology in financial crimes, including terrorist financing, money laundering and cybercrime. Created with the approval of the FIA Director General, the specialised unit supports Pakistan's efforts to strengthen financial security and comply with the National Action Plan (NAP) and Financial Action Task Force (FATF) recommendations. The initiative aims to improve oversight of digital financial activities across the country.
