Pakistan, Aug. 13 -- The mayor of Faizabad, the capital of Afghanistan's Badakhshan province, was killed in a bomb blast. Faizabad mayor killed after his vehicle was targeted with an explosive near his office, according to reports.

The French news reported that Faizabad Mayor Habib ur Rahman Mansour was killed when a bomb targeted his vehicle.

A municipal employee, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the mayor was killed by an explosive device planted near his office.
