Pakistan, Aug. 29 -- England strengthened their grip on the second Test against Pakistan by extending their overall lead to 261 runs as they managed to score 81-3 in in their second innings at stumps on day three the second day at Lord's on Friday

Resuming with a first-innings lead of 180 after dismissing Pakistan for 110, England suffered an early setback when Ben Duckett was caught by Babar Azam off Khurram Shahzad for one with the score on one.

Khurram struck again with the score on 13, trapping Jordan Cox lbw for 11 to leave the hosts two down.

Joe Root and Emilio Gay then steadied the innings with a 47-run partnership before Mohammad Ali dismissed Root lbw for 24, reducing England to 60-3.
