Pakistan, July 9 -- Actress Emmy Rossum has clarified the real reason she left the hit television series Shameless, saying many fans misunderstood her decision. Speaking during a recent podcast interview, she explained that she never lost her passion for playing Fiona Gallagher and did not leave because she wanted to start a family.

Rossum said she genuinely loved working on the series and had no desire to walk away from the role itself. However, after appearing in around 110 episodes, she felt she had reached a point where she wanted to explore new creative opportunities. Consequently, she decided it was the right time to begin the next stage of her career.
