Pakistan, Aug. 15 -- Egypt has conveyed wishes for Pakistan's continued peace, development and prosperity during a phone call between both foreign ministers. The call took place on Pakistan's Independence Day.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty by telephone. Abdelatty congratulated Pakistan's leadership, government and people on the national occasion.

According to Pakistan's Foreign Office, both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to close and brotherly relations. They also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
