Pakistan, July 6 -- Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has inaugurated Egypt's new strategic military command headquarters, known as the Octagon, describing it as a major step forward in strengthening the country's command, control and defence management capabilities.

The sprawling military complex is located in New Administrative Capital, around 45 kilometres east of Cairo. The headquarters derives its name from its design, which features eight interconnected buildings forming an octagonal layout.
