Pakistan, Aug. 20 -- The Economic Coordination Committee has approved the export of 108,000 metric tonnes of sugar. The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.
According to the Finance Ministry, the approved sugar is currently held by the Trading Corporation of Pakistan. The stock will now be offered for export.

The ECC also approved international tenders for exporting the sugar. The tendering process will be conducted under Public Procurement Regulatory Authority rules.
