Pakistan, May 12 -- Police in Rawalpindi have arrested a domestic worker and her alleged accomplice in connection with the theft of Rs2.9 million from a house in the city.
According to police officials, the case was registered on May 2 at New Town police station after a complaint was filed regarding the missing cash from a residential property.

Investigators said the arrested woman had been employed at the house and was living with her parents in servant quarters located on the premises.
During the investigation, police gathered evidence that led to the detention of the domestic worker. Authorities later arrested her alleged accomplice as part of the same operation.
