Pakistan, Sept. 6 -- More details have come to light surrounding Dolly Parton's passing. Reps for the "Jolene" singer-who died at age 80 on Aug. 25, four days after she was hospitalized in Nashville, Tenn.-shared that her cause of death was cancer.

"After bravely facing a brief battle with cancer," her team said in a statement to MS NOW, "Dolly departed her Earthly life today at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center surrounded by loved ones."
