Pakistan, July 6 -- A dining car of 28 Down Shalimar Express derailed near Khanewal due to a technical fault on Sunday. All passengers remained safe in the minor accident, railway officials said. Arrangements for food and refreshments were being made for the affected passengers. A relief train had been dispatched to the site, with railway officials reaching the spot to oversee restoration work. The Shorkot section was temporarily blocked as restoration work continued on an urgent basis. Officials said the track would soon be cleared. The mainline has since been cleared for all railway traffic, and train operations are proceeding normally.
