Pakistan, Aug. 9 -- US House Democrats are preparing investigations into President Donald Trump if they regain control after November's midterm elections. Party leaders plan to use subpoenas, hearings and document requests to examine Trump's political and business network. Sources said Democrats would initially focus on gathering evidence rather than pursuing immediate impeachment.

The investigations could examine whether Trump used presidential powers to benefit himself, allies or political donors. Democrats are also expected to scrutinize administration contracts, corporate donors and alleged pay-to-play arrangements.
