Pakistan, May 12 -- Defense Minister Khawaja Asif warned that Pakistan could take decisive action after the deadly attack on a Bannu police checkpoint. Speaking at Parliament House in Islamabad, he described the incident as deeply tragic. He also said the government remains fully committed to eliminating terrorism from the country.
Khawaja Asif accused India of supporting a proxy war against Pakistan through Afghanistan. Furthermore, he claimed that hostile elements are using Afghan territory to destabilize Pakistan. According to him, Pakistan had always supported Afghanistan in difficult times, yet the current situation reflects serious mistrust between the neighboring countries.
