Pakistan, July 19 -- Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) signed a contract for the construction of a new school in Shahi Gyal as part of the resettlement plan for the Dasu Hydropower Project.

The agreement was signed during a ceremony at the Dasu Hydropower Project office, according to Gwadar Pro.

The school is being relocated from Seer Gyal under the project's Resettlement Action Plan after the original site was affected by project development.

According to WAPDA, it coordinated with the provincial Education Department to acquire land at Shahi Gyal to ensure continuity of educational services for local residents.
