Pakistan, July 24 -- Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar urged the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation to hold the Afghan Taliban accountable for terrorism. He said militant groups operating from Afghan soil continue to threaten regional security and stability.

Addressing the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Cholpon-Ata, Dar said Pakistan seeks a peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan. He urged the Taliban to honour their counterterrorism commitments and responsibilities toward regional and global peace.
