Pakistan, Aug. 29 -- Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said Pakistan aims to become the world's 24th largest economy. He also said the government wants Pakistan to join the G20. Dar shared the targets while speaking to media in London.
Dar described his recent UK visit as highly positive and successful. He said Pakistan wants to take bilateral relations with Britain to new heights. Meetings with British officials focused on strengthening cooperation between both countries.
The deputy prime minister said Pakistan was experiencing rapid economic growth in 2017. However, he claimed the country's economic progress was later interrupted. Dar said Pakistan could have become one of the world's major economies without that disruption.
