Pakistan, Sept. 2 -- The core inflation measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) CPI inflation increased by 11.1 percent on year-on-year (YoY) basis in August 2026 as compared to an increase of 9.2 percent in the previous month and 3.1 percent in August 2025, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported on Tuesday.

According to PBS data, on a month-on-month basis, it remained unchanged at 1.2 % in August 2026 as compared to the previous month and a decrease of 0.6 % in August 2025.
