KARACHI, Aug. 19 -- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan has defended the Supreme Court's decision concerning Imran Khan's medical treatment. He questioned the government's objection to a ruling based on medical evidence.

Speaking on news programme, Shafi Jan said the court reached its decision independently. He described the ruling as a fair decision by an independent judiciary. He also said his party would honor the assurance given to the court.
