Pakistan, Oct. 24 -- A sessions court on Friday extended the interim pre-arrest bail of Ahmad Tanveer, a suspect in the alleged rape of a foreign woman, until October 27.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Rafaqat Ali Gondal heard the suspect's bail application. At the outset, the court examined the record and observed that the suspect had not joined the investigation.

In response to a query from the court, Ahmad Tanveer said he feared arrest in another case. However, the investigation officer denied that any other case was registered against him and told the court that the suspect could join the investigation if he was willing to do so.
