Pakistan, Aug. 19 -- Cotton arrivals at ginning factories across the country reached 1,113,513 bales as of August 15,2026, registering an increase of 226,112 bales, or 25.48 percent, compared with 887,401 bales recorded during the corresponding period last year, according to the Pakistan Cotton Ginners' Association (PCGA).

The PCGA's consolidated statement showed that textile mills purchased 937,817 bales, while exporters and traders bought 13,000 bales.

The total unsold stock stood at 162,696 bales, comprising 68,208 pressed bales and 94,488 bales of phutti (unginned cotton), compared with an unsold stock of 80,913 bales during the corresponding period last year.
