Pakistan, July 16 -- A police officer was martyred and 10 others were injured after terrorists launched a coordinated attack on the Miryan Police Station in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Bannu district, authorities confirmed on Thursday.

According to police, the attackers attempted to ram an explosives-laden vehicle into the police station late Wednesday night, triggering a powerful explosion that was followed by an intense exchange of gunfire. The militants then tried to storm the facility, but police and security personnel responded swiftly, preventing them from breaching the station.
