Pakistan, Sept. 28 -- The commission headed by Justice Umar Sial has issued a written order regarding proceedings into the case. The order states that the commission's tenure expired on Monday after completing its current authorized period.

The commission had earlier requested the Sindh government to extend its tenure until October 15. The provincial government's focal person informed the commission that the chief minister had approved the summary seeking the extension.

The chief minister then forwarded the summary to the Sindh cabinet for a final decision. According to the written order, the cabinet will likely meet on October 1 to consider the request.
