Pakistan, Sept. 7 -- Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has paid rich tribute to the martyrs and national heroes on the occasion of Defence and Martyrs Day, saying that September 6 reminds the nation of the unforgettable sacrifices made for the defence of the motherland.

In his message on the occasion of Defence Day on Sunday, the Chief Minister said the nation paid homage to those, who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan's security, sovereignty and independence.

He said the brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army had foiled the enemy's nefarious designs during the 1965 war.
