Pakistan, Sept. 17 -- UK clinics offering cosmetic treatments have been urged to screen patients for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and body dysmorphic disorder (BDD). The recommendation comes in new draft guidance prepared by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). The proposals aim to help healthcare professionals identify patients who may need specialist support before undergoing cosmetic procedures.
NICE has advised doctors and other healthcare workers to take extra care when assessing people showing signs of depression, anxiety, autism or ADHD.
