Pakistan, Sept. 12 -- Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi has called for stronger district courts across the country. He described the district judiciary as the backbone of Pakistan's justice system. He said most citizens first interact with state institutions through local courts. Therefore, stronger district courts can help improve public trust in the judiciary.
