Pakistan, July 8 -- A industrial regulator of China has issued a warning about the use of Claude Code, an artificial intelligence coding tool developed by US-based AI company Anthropic, citing alleged security concerns and urging users to review their systems.

According to China's National Vulnerability Database (NVDB), the AI coding assistant may contain an alleged "security backdoor" that could allow sensitive user information, including location and identity-related data, to be transmitted to Anthropic's servers without authorization. The regulator described the reported issue as a potential security risk that requires immediate attention.
