Pakistan, April 23 -- China's Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong has praised Pakistan's diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace in the Middle East. The remarks came during a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad, according to the Prime Minister's Office. The two sides also reviewed the evolving regional situation.

During the meeting, both leaders exchanged views on developments in the Middle East. The Chinese envoy appreciated Pakistan's continued efforts for regional stability and lasting peace. He thanked the prime minister for receiving him and acknowledged Islamabad's diplomatic engagement in ongoing tensions.
