Pakistan, Sept. 27 -- China remained Pakistan's largest source of foreign direct investment, with net FDI from China reaching $176.2 million during the first two months of fiscal year 2026-27, according to the latest State Bank of Pakistan data. Net FDI from China stood at $113 million in August, up from $63.2 million in July, an increase of $49.8 million. The August figure accounted for about 35.8% of Pakistan's total net FDI of $315.9 million during the month, while China's cumulative net FDI of $176.2 million represented about 35.6% of the country's total net FDI of $494.5 million during July-August, according to Gwadar's report on Saturday.
