Pakistan, Aug. 14 -- Karachi's Independence Day celebrations turned deadly after aerial firing injured 94 people and killed one woman. Rescue officials said the casualties included 10 women, 17 children and 59 men. The incidents occurred across several parts of the city during overnight celebrations. The injured were shifted to major hospitals for emergency treatment. Authorities again warned residents that celebratory firing can cause serious injuries and deaths.
