Pakistan, Oct. 20 -- The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has reclaimed 1,133 kanals of state land in Sector E-12 after nearly four decades, paving the way for accelerated development work in the sector, according to an official statement issued on Monday.

The authority said the land, worth billions of rupees, was retrieved from illegal occupants on directives of Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and under supervision of CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of deputy director general (enforcement) and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Dr Anam Fatima, with the assistance of the Islamabad administration, the relevant assistant commissioner and Islamabad police, the statement said...
