Pakistan, Aug. 5 -- Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett has praised Prince William environmental leadership, saying the Prince of Wales has inherited his father King Charles' long-standing commitment to protecting the planet.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar UK, Blanchett described Prince William as an "extraordinary leader" who is deeply involved in advancing environmental solutions through the Earthshot Prize.

"He's been an extraordinary leader, very hands-on in a consistent and practically engaged way," Blanchett said. "He has inherited that interest from the King. He's grown up with it."
