Pakistan, Aug. 24 -- Cambodia Telecommunications Authority has warned citizens about new scams targeting social media users. Scammers are reportedly impersonating account protection services to steal money and sensitive information. They advertise services that supposedly prevent accounts from being locked, deleted or compromised. However, authorities say these offers are designed to exploit users' fears. Scammers may also falsely claim connections with social media companies. Some reportedly pretend to have special technical tools to appear legitimate.
