Pakistan, Aug. 9 -- The Cabinet Committee on Privatisation will make the final decision on the proposed privatisation of IESCO, FESCO and GEPCO. The development follows a review of the privatisation process.

The committee met under Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to assess progress on the three power distribution companies. Officials reviewed the ongoing consultation process.

According to an official statement, the Privatisation Commission must complete consultations with the Power Division by next week. The committee will decide the matter after receiving the Power Division's input.
