Pakistan, May 26 -- K-pop supergroup BTS won the top Artist of the Year prize at the American Music Awards on Monday. The group defeated major global stars including Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, and Lady Gaga. Their victory marked a major comeback after returning from military service earlier this year.

BTS also secured Best Male K-pop Artist and Song of the Summer for their single "Swim". Group leader RM thanked fans during the ceremony in Las Vegas and praised the group's loyal global fanbase. The awards ceremony aired live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on CBS and Paramount+. BTS previously won Artist of the Year at the AMAs in 2021.
