Pakistan, July 3 -- A passenger bus plunged into a ravine in Zhob after an apparent brake failure, killing 40 people. The crash raised fresh concerns about road safety and possible overloading on mountain routes. Women, children, survivors, and grieving families were among those most affected by the devastating tragedy.
Police said the accident occurred in the Danasar area of Zhob near the Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa border. Authorities said the bus lost control after its brakes apparently failed. Eight people suffered injuries, including women and children. Rescue workers shifted the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, emergency teams continued rescue operations at the crash site.
