Reports indicate that Maddox and Zahara have each submitted legal petitions seeking to remove "Pitt" from their surnames, a move that could further widen the family's long-standing divide.

According to the reported filings published in the Los Angeles Daily Journal, Zahara has requested to legally change her name to Zahara Marley Jolie, while Maddox is seeking the name Maddox Chivan Jolie.
