Pakistan, Sept. 8 -- Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday said literacy is the foundation of an empowered society and every child has the right to learn, dream and build a better future.

He said International Literacy Day reminded us that the light of knowledge must reach every home, irrespective of poverty, gender or circumstance.

"Equal opportunities must be ensured for girls, children from disadvantaged communities and those living in underserved areas," he urged.
