Pakistan, Oct. 9 -- Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Prime Minister's Adviser Rana Sanaullah have joined the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP). They filled two vacant parliamentary seats on Friday.
The seats became vacant after PPP Senator Farooq H. Naek and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) member Aftab Sheikh resigned. Bilawal and Rana will represent the government's treasury benches in Parliament.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar made the nominations under Article 175A(2)(vii) of the Constitution. Sharif serves as leader of the House in the National Assembly, while Dar leads the government in the Senate.
