Pakistan, April 17 -- The output of the Large Scale Manufacturing Industries (LSMI) witnessed an increase of 5.89 per cent during the first eight months of the current fiscal year (2025-26) as compared to the corresponding months of last year, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported Thursday. The Quantum Index Numbers of Large Scale Manufacturing Industries (QIM) for July-February (2025-26) was recorded at 122.77 points as compared to 115.94 points during July-February 2024-25. On year-on-year basis, the industry grew by 6.45 percent in February 2026 as compared to February 2025 whereas on month-on-month basis, it decreased by 8.97 percent when compared to January 2026.
