Pakistan, Sept. 7 -- South Balochistan is a place where numbers alone struggle to convey the scale of the challenge.

The province accounts for about 38 per cent of Pakistan's total border length and nearly 70 per cent of its coastline. It shares a 909-kilometre border with Iran and a 730-kilometre border with Afghanistan. The distances involved are immense, settlements are scattered and the terrain makes administration and service delivery difficult.
