Pakistan, June 16 -- An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday issued arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Khan Afridi in connection with the October 4 protest case involving the killing of a police official. The court, presided over by Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra, also declared former opposition leader Omar Ayub, Amir Mughal, Hafeez-ur-Rehman and other accused as proclaimed offenders due to their continued absence from court proceedings despite repeated summons. During the hearing, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader Azam Swati appeared before the court. The prosecution recorded the statement of another witness, while proceedings against Swati continued.
