Pakistan, Sept. 23 -- Pakistan's Asim Khan made history by winning a bronze medal in mixed martial arts (MMA) at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, securing the country's first-ever medal in the sport at the continental multi-sport event.

The historic achievement came as Pakistan made its debut in the MMA discipline at the Asian Games, with Asim becoming the first Pakistani MMA athlete to mount the podium at the Games. President Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts Federation (PMMAF) Zulfiqar Ali congratulated Asim Khan on the landmark achievement and said the medal was the result of years of hard work, disciplined training and dedicated preparation.
